Hi everbody,

I finally got my visa this morning

Here is my full timeline (I did all applications without agent):

Applied for Prospective Marriage Visa (300): 26th of February 2016
Grant PMV: 17th of November 2016
Applied for 820: 6th of July 2017
Grant 820: 30th of November 2017
Applied for 801 Visa: 1st of July 2019
Grant: today

So pretty much 4 years form PMV to PR.

I did not have any correspondence with the department at all since I lodged my 801 application. I did not send the complain form and I also didn't upload a new police check with the 801 application. I also didn't continue to upload evidence documents after lodged the application. Thought this information might be helpful for some people. I am from a low risk country (Germany).

Thanks to everyone, this forum has been very helpful. I hope everyone who is still waiting will get their PR soon.

Just got my 801 Grant this morning!!

Applied for 820: 19 August 2017
820 Grant: 20 September 2018
Applied for 801: 19 July 2019 (a month before eligibility)
Sent complaint form 03 March 2020
801 Grant: 04 March 2020

I'm refinancing my home loan with my partner and used that as an excuse in the complaint saying that they had issues with my temporary residency (which is true). The complaint form really is magical!

Thanks to the support in this forum, you've really kept me sane!

You can find it on your latest Grant document. So if you have the 820, it's also known as "Application ID"

I got my visa granted on Wednesday, 3 hours after submitting the miraculous complaint form - despite only being eligible to apply for the 801 in early January
I've been trying to apply for credit but really struggling while being on the 820 which was the basis of my complaint
My time line
PMV applied Nov 16, granted May 17
820 applied Jan 18, granted Jun 18
801 applied Jan 20, complaint form sent 4th Mar 20, granted 4th Mar 20

Good luck everyone!!

Hi everyone,

My wife has received notification that she can apply for her 801 Visa now. We submitted the 820 Visa back in April 2018 and it was granted in November 2018.

I am wondering how long we have to submit the 801 Visa? I can't find that information.

Some people have done it a year after eligibility date. Most do it within 4 weeks either side of eligibility. Doing it late doesn't seem to increase the processing time from eligibility date.

We did ours almost 3 months after eligibility date.

2020 sheet needed

Hi,

Could a 2020 sheet be added, thank you. I've added my details in the 2019 sheet, they can be copied to the 2020 sheet when created, thanks.

Congrats. I had same experience, I also did not upload any further docs from date of submitting 801, also needed no "complain letter", never knew such a thing existed. No agent used either, I'm from Ukraine.
