Hi all, I write with happy news!

After 27 months of waiting, I've finally had my permanant visa approved.

I was granted the 801 straight up, having not received an 820.

Brief timeline of my visa:

British citizen
Lodged onshore application - 28/12/2017
Several bridging visa-B's granted so I could go on holiday, but no 820.

March 2020 (Month 27) - granted 820 and 801 at the same time

Officially a permanent resident, absolutely elated!

Good luck to everyone still waiting, I hope you receive some good news soon.

Hi all,

Congratulations to all the lucky ones!!! I am so happy for you guys.

I just have a quick question regarding the 801 application (I may have missed the answers to my question from all the previous posts sorry.. ). I wonder whether we are required to redo the visa medical check for the 801 visa application? I have submitted my 801 application this Monday through an agent, have not heard anything about it so far.

I have done the visa medical check during my 820 visa application, which was nearly two years ago. I wonder whether I will be required again for my permanent resident application?

Thanks heaps <3

Attached with my timeline:
820 submitted 22nd March 2018
Visa Medical Check submitted 19th April 2018
820 granted 7th Jan 2019
801 submitted 23rd March 2020

I just got my 801 today! Finally after the long wait and some good news amid Covid-19.

My husband and I were married in 2016.

I applied the 820 onshore coming with Tourist Visa in Sept 2017. BVA was granted immediately after one day. Granted with the 820 Partner Visa in Feb 2019, applied 801 in Sept 2019 and 801 Granted 31 March. I applied by myself with no agent.

Good luck with everyone !
