Hi guys. First time poster! We’re applying for our stage 2, 801 perm partner visa and are now uploading documents. We’ve heard new 888 star decs we’re not required by friends who were successful, but not sure if we should continue to do them. Abit harder for our witnesses during covid to sort this out of course too. Any advice from those that didn’t do this?

I re-used the same 888 forms I submitted for 820 for the 801 visa application and I have no issue with getting the 801. The social aspect is quite essential for the application as this can improve your relationship is genuine which is the key to grant the visa.

I think we did put all the evidence.

Yes, I think so. We uploaded as much as we could, and will upload a few more things as time goes on. Although, we're (obviously) not really going out, spending money or socialising at the moment, so there won't be a whole lot more to add.

I noticed a few weeks ago that the wait time for 75% of cases has gone down by a month from 12 to 11. I'm not sure if that's a result of less visa applications because of COVID-19, but at least that's one, very small silver lining.
