I was shocked when I saw the email.

Finally it arrived

Finally, it s my turn today, total 49 months

My husband submitted another complain letter last week , they called me and my husband asked few questions, they went through everything we lodged, asked very details today then 15m later, golden letter arrived
Timeline :

820/801 started Mar 2016
820 Granted Apr 2017
801 Further document submitted May 2018
801 Granted 09/04/2020

It has been a journey

Thank you everyone in here, i followed all your suggestions : sent complaint letter, sent processing enquires, every 4-5 months, i submitted extra documents.
Last complaint was sent , we asked since it has been 25m for us and explained our situation , covid - 19 we need support and my workplace only want to keep Pr employees...etc

I know how stressful and frustration it would be, but hang in there and good luck

Pm if you want to ask anything, i will reply as soon as i can

I've contacted GFU twice in March, the first time I was told it wasn't a complaint and they NFA me (it was a complaint I just worded it too nicely).
I am curious about what the complaint was, just 2 months after applying?

Congrats on getting the PR. Seems to be faster than when we did ours. Ours was a 2015 PMV application.
It was just a general whinge about the length of process and how it disadvantages the applicant. Given all the grants flying through it may just have been a coincidence we got approved? Ours was processed in Victoria permanent partner processing centre in Victoria according to the email. Oddly granted at 630am though.

hi everyone!
Just received an email saying I can apply for the 801-
applied for 820 May 2018
Granted November 2019.
It's a month before the eligibility date, but reading some comments it seems you can apply the month before?
Just completed the application and it asks if it has been 2 years since we applied for the 820- its not, but will be next month. Should I wait till next month to apply or can I apply now?

Also what evidence do you need to supply? Basically the same that you submitted for the 820, or just new pieces of evidence that you've gathered since you initially applied
?

Feeling very overwhelmed again! Forgot how stressful it all is. Any help would be appreciated

Hi

Many Congratulations..!!Thanks for posting your timeline. Were you contacted by your case officer during this time. And if you contacted the department with any concerns or complaints. I'm just trying to figure out an estimate for my application which was filed on March the 2nd.
Oh and most importantly what's your nationality. I've heard it does make a difference to processing time.

I am not sure if nationality makes much difference to the 801, but it does for the 820.

The 801 eligibility date is relevant though.
What is your nationality and timeline?

Hi JandE

Thanks for your response. I'm an Indian.

I filed 820 on 1st March 2018 and was granted the visa on 24th October 2019. While the 801 application was filed on 2nd March 2020

Not sure with Covid 19 circulating around, if it'd would drag the processing time even more ?
