So a nice quick 2 year grant. Those saying how did you get so quickly, I work for WA gov. I sent a couple emails from my work email asking for fast processing due to covid situation. My job couldn't offer me perm work unless i was 801, and I was on my last extension so was a little nervous of employment after extension finished.

Got an email back saying they couldn't grant early as no regulations for my situation. Come this morning I find this grant sitting there in my inbox.

Good luck all those still waiting. I have a feeling there will be many more coming soon.
Did you actually do the 801 uploads? Your eligibility date, to apply for the 801, would only have been 11/5/2020, ie: Today, the date of your grant.

It is like you got the 820 and 801 together, based on relationship length, but with a delay between them..

So I got an email I was eligible 1 month ago (11th April) saying I could apply/get documents ready and did so..whether I was supposed to or not the letter stated I could submit details for my 801 from that date. So everything was uploaded minus a couple stat decs within a day. Then I uploaded the last stat dec about 4 days ago.

Not bad at all.

I feel that Immigration have time to spend on onshore visas right now, and consequently I would guess many 820s and 801s (and other onshore visas) will be granted faster for a while.

They obviously looked at yours, due to your request, and had a decision to make after they replied to you.. Put it back to look again later, or might as well finalise it now.. And decided to finalise it.

A good result for you.

Congrats! So when did you apply for 801? Or you didn't do it. And which email address did you send your request to?

Applied for my 801 technically 11th April 2020, when i got the email I could proceed..then uploaded evidence as and when I got it. Statutory decs are a little difficult to get signed so I was only missing two with the rest of my evidence already stockpiled, uploaded the last one 4 days ago.
Sent the request to

[email protected]

you will get an auto reply, however they do sift through these emails and will view it. They however will decide whether they respond or not. I think I was very lucky for such a swift finalization.
