Any information that I can tell them. Thanks
It might be worth considering applying for a PMV, before getting married. Then come over on a visitor visa.

It depends a lot on exact circumstances. How long they have been together etc.

If in doubt, a migration agent might be worth while.

Your information would be help them so much.

We applied for the PMV outside Australia, did the medicals and police checks, and then applied for a 12 month visitor visa. Flew to Australia, and got married about 6 months later, after the PMV was granted, then went on to the 820/801 partner visa.

For those with little relationship history, it is possibly a better route.

However, with the COVID-19 situation at the moment, few visitor visas will be issued anyway.

But it might be useful once things are back to normal.

Thanks so much.
When U apply the PMV do U need to stay in your country then wait for the visa grant? My friend check it and it will need to wait form 17-19mths, mean his wife can't come any visa while waiting for the PMV grant?
Thanks . You are so helpful

People do apply for a visitor visa, after applying for the PMV/300. We got a 12 month visitor visa.

However, with current waiting times, 75% taking up to 17 months, and 10% taking over 19 months, and that might get worse due to COVID, that may not be enough these days.

They might be best checking their situation with an Immigration agent, as it all depends on their exact circumstances.

Sent the request to

[email protected]

you will get an auto reply, however they do sift through these emails and will view it. They however will decide whether they respond or not. I think I was very lucky for such a swift finalization.
We got 801 granted today - exactly 24 months waiting. Thank you so much for you information as we sent the email last Thursday asking for the priority assessment due to work issues. Looks like they responded by granting the visa on the entitlement day! Thanks everyone. Good luck to those still waiting!

Many congratulations Cait! So happy for you! You must be so relieved..
Were you assigned a case officer or had any request for further information/documents?
