Hi Mish
Hope u will be fine.
We had Appiontment with Our CO at Australian High comission.
There we all family aged above 16 signed Statutory Declaration of character
was called penal waiver Documents.
Which was about that i am not realated to any gamg gtoup or other bad activities.
And also there was mention if we are then our Australian visa would be cancelled.
After that CO told us that one person from visa and IMmigration will come and will give evidence about u that yup they were here to sign statutory Declaration
We signed it.
He told us that your all documents is complete now i will forward it to Australia.
My question is that when we should expect the visa??
Thanks in advance for ur reply.

Sorry, but nobody on this forum can tell you when you will get your visa the only person that knows is the person granting the visa.

Is it right that CO will forward it to Australia for granting visa or CO has the Authority of granting visa or every Embassy has the proper officer of granting visa.

Each embassy has their own procedures but generally overseas case officers are not Australian citizens so they cannot make a decision on the visa.

That's something I did not know.

So who makes the decision

The Australian citizen senior officer usually. It is only for offshore applications as the decision must be made by an Australian citizen. Case officers are locals therefore they just make a recommendation.

In Australia the case officers are all Australian citizens.

Hi All,
I know this has been discussed before, is Form 80 still required for people who already provided it before?
I came from 300/820 stream, so I did provide form 80 for 300 visa (took 2 years !!!) and again for 820 visa.
my question for all those who got their 801 recently did you provide form 80 again with your application? if not? did the Case officer ask for it?

your answers are greatly appreciated
Thanks
