I think so - First entered AU on a tourist visa Feb 2017, and got tourist visas extended until we left AU for the PMV to be granted. I believe the time starts from the tourist visa, which means June 2021 for 12 months after PR?

Yes, our 4 years included 2 weeks from the visitor visa, then the 300 etc.

Yours will be 4 years and 4 months inside Australia by the time the 1 year PR is up, in June 2021.

Hi dear people.
For permanent visa application, can I use the documents from the previous application( the ones that I used for 820 partner visa) ? Such as marriage certificate and birth certificate, because they were already certified, or do I have to do that again?
Thank you <3

My understanding was that because 801 is the second stage of the 820, you do not need to upload documents that were included in the 820 application; that goes for marriage certificate, birth certificate or any other evidence (bills, bank statements etc) that pre-dates the 820 application. Only upload what came after. The exception is the passport.
I'd love an agent to confirm that though!

Hello Folks...

I just wanted to let you know that my wife received her 801 VISA granted yesterday.

Thanks to everyone in this forum for guiding us during our entire visa process journey. You guys are an amazing bunch of people who helped us in every stage of this visa processing while keeping us motivated during this 2-year long waiting period.

I am sharing our 820/801 visa processing experience and timeline in case it helps others in this forum.

We applied for my wife's partner visa(820/801 onshore) on 22nd April 2018. We uploaded most of the documents including form 888s and form 40SP, but on 17th May 2019, received an email from the case officer to upload few additional documents like my wife's police clearance(India + Aus) and mine (only Aus) and also some more evidence details of our living arrangements and financial and social details.
We uploaded the Statutory Declaration, PCC and bank transactions in join account, phone call records, latest rental agreement, and few recent pics together.
We had a baby on 17th May 2019, so we uploaded his details as well like Paternity Leave application to Company, Parental Leave Hospital referral letter, and photographs of the newborn baby with us.

We got the 820 VISA granted on 1st Oct 2019 (within 18 months of applying).

We had to wait till 22nd April 2020 to complete 2 years of applying for 820 visa, but did not receive any communication from DHA to apply for 801 visa. So, we did not wait any further and applied for 801 visa on 15th May 2020(thanks to this forum for advising).
We uploaded a few more additional documents like photographs taken between 1st Oct 2019 and 15th May 2020 to show that we continue to be in relation after 820 VISA was granted. We also uploaded our baby's birth certificate, latest rental agreement, bank statements.

Yesterday to our surprise, we received a call from our case officer to confirm a few general details like name, DOB, our recent travel details to India, and whether we are still living together. As I missed uploading the statutory declaration for 801 VISA, the case officer wanted a verbal confirmation over the phone to confirm if I am still willing to sponsor my wife. She mentioned particularly that statutory declaration is an important document. So, please make sure you upload it when applying for 801 visa.

That's it...in 30 mins we received the 801 grant email from the case officer. I must mention that the case officer was very kind, patient, and helping.

Thanks again guys and I wish all you people get your VISA granted very soon...

TIMELINE
=========
820 VISA applied 22nd APR 2018
Requested PCC and more supporting documents 17th May 2019
820 VISA granted 1st Oct 2019
Applied 801 VISA 15th May 2020
801 VISA granted 23rd June 2020
