S56

Hi,
Today I received an S56 and saw that my application is under initial assessment. All the checklist requested was AFP clearance, which I hadn't applied for as I only thought it was necessary if you've been in Aus for 12 months, which I havn't yet.
My application is mostly complete, is it normal to get multiple S56s or do they just send out one checklist?

Thanks in advance!

Will

Hi,following is my timeline

Sep 2017 moved in together
Dec 2017 registered relationship
Mar 2018 lodged 820(agent)
July 2019 granted 820
Mar 2020 lodged 801(agent)
Waiting for grant

Would anyone know looking at the timeline, why is it getting delayed ?
I know I am well under the processing times but I saw people getting grants within days, weeks or a month or some getting the next day of submitting enquiry/complaint form. Is the process just random or what factors are they looking?

Thanks in advance

Greetings all,

My wife received her 820 visa today

820 visa submitted August 2019
820 visa granted July 2020

So my question is whats next? Is she already eligible to apply for 801?

Do I (as her sponsor) need to do anything on my side?

Thanks,

She ll be eligible to apply for 801 in August 2021 unless you have been in a long term relationship in which case you can ask for consideration for an 801.

Immigration say:

We start assessing you for the permanent visa 2 years after you lodged your visa application. You can send the documents no more than a month before the 2 years date. Do not send them before this time.

At that 2 year point, the sponsor also has to submit the Sponsor Stat Dec.

820 granted, so what now ?

My wife's 820 onshore visa was just recently granted after 15 months. What's the next step? I am aware that my wife has to wait 2 years for the 801 to be granted, but what do we need to do. In my online immi account, it says the application is finalized, but i thought when we applied that the application and fee that I paid was for both the 820 and the 801 permanent visas. Do we get notified after 2 years that we need to apply for the 801, or will the option appear in my immi account when its time?

thanks,
Michale

The 820 is finalised.

Just before 24 months after the 820 application date, most people get notified to do the 2nd stage, the 801.
You then select the stage 2 part in your immigration account.

The immigration fee does cover both the 820 and 801.
