Thanks a lot Roxs. It's good to know.

[QUOTE=Roxs;2001263]That's your Transaction Reference Number. Same for both, add your TRN of 801 application, can be found on your immi account.

Many thanks Roxs for the clarification.

Although my partner and I regularly met upon my various overseas trips since 2010, we only got married in March 2020 so might not be eligible for the direct 801 grant.

Fingers crossed that when the time comes for the 801 submission, it'll be a favourable outcome

Cheers

immigration service.

Hello members
I like to thank all members who offer help .I am in Thailand and been here for 10 years with my partner , she is 50 years old I am 66 .
I need to know many answers to questions I have .
Is it quicker to get a partner visa for us as we have been together for a period of time , etc etc etc
Can anyone recommend any good immigration agents, as I have spoken to some asking questions and they dont seem to want to answer unless I pay for phone time .If I find out answers to my questions I would get them to represent us for my partners visa . I dont think it is unreasonable to get a feel for their service.I understand some people just want answers , I think I am s man of my word ..
So we are stuck in Thailand till this virus has run its course .Then we will start the process and then I will have some knowledge to share on this site. .
Just want to say Thanks to all members .. This is a great site . I need an immigration agent in Victoria .
Kevin & Miow

That's correct. however, make sure you upload all the pictures and travel tickets on those 10 years.. Will definitely help you. All the very best.

From what I understand, you both are together from last 10 years and would like to apply for partner visa.

One of you need to have a PR or Australian citizenship and then you can sponsor your partner. Do you or your partner has Australian PR or a Citizenship?

Congratulations to all who got their 801s in the last few days. Immigration does seem to want to clear the backlog. Good news for all those who are eligible to apply in the next 6 months. My guess is this trend will continue until the borders are shut.

Fingers crossed here. In fact, I have crossed so many parts of me I am almost done up in knots

Hi Kevin and Miow

I'm aware Skylark Migration based in Victoria offer 30 minutes free consultation. Their google review score seems pretty good, you may want to check out their website at www.skylarkmigration.com.au and book the free consultation.

Best of luck with your future endeavours.

Regards
NB

My 801 has arrived!

Hi everyone,

I have been a 4 year reader and a 0 time poster until now haha.

I got the magical email from Immigration yesterday granting me my 801!! It feels so surreal and I am still processing it, but I wanted to jump on here and give you all my timeline and some details about my application

820 APPLIED: July 10th, 2018
Request for more info from Sponsor: Feb. 8th, 2019
Request for more information (health exam/police check/fingerprints): Nov. 15th, 2019 - They didn't receive all of this info until January 3rd because of Christmas and the New Year.
Application in Process email: Jan. 9th, 2020
820 GRANTED: Jan. 23rd, 2020
801 APPLIED: July 12th, 2020
801 GRANTED: Sept. 1st, 2020

I am a U.S. citizen and we did not use an agent.

We also never got a request for more information for the 801.

We submitted one Police Check for my Sponsor and one for myself during the 820 process. I should also note that I took a very long time submitting all of my information for the 820. I submitted the various forms and documentation throughout 2018/2019 and submitted the Form 80 for my Sponsor in October 2019.

I hope this helps someone and gives you hope!

You all helped me so much through this process and I can't thank you enough.

We are eligible to apply for 801 in 11 months time.

How amazing would it be if they, due to the reduced backlog, allowed 801 applications with less than 2 years since 820 app..... That's the dream.
