Thank you so much for your reply!
I have now submitted the stage 2 application.

Does anyone know if it is normal for the stage 2 application to not have the same file attachment sections as stage 1 (no mutual commitment, nature of household, form 888 section)? I am ending up uploading most of our files under "Other" and adding a description.

I am back again! Was wondering if it's normal to not get the "IMMI Acknowledgement of Application Received" email for the 801 application?

I didn't get one too.
Was wondering about that but everything in the IMMI Account was accurate so I didn't bother.

It's normal. The reason is that you applied for the combined 820/801 visa two years ago, when you submitted the 820 documents. The second stage is just a continuation of that, therefore it is not considered a new application per se.

Thanks again for the response - real legend! Yeah, that definitely clears things up.

Looks like our 801 application submission was close to each other, fingers crossed that we hear back from them soon!

Out of curiosity, are you considering sending in an enquiry as well? From reading a bit in this thread, it looks like a lot of people had some success from doing so...

I'm also considering submitting a form 80 (although I already did one for my 820) - did/will you?

Hi there, form 80 is not needed. You should only complete it if requested by the case officer. We've never submitted Form 80
