Give yourself plenty of time to gather the doc's and photo's from the past 2 years. I forgot how long it takes to scan and upload the relevant stuff.
Good luck with it.

FYI. My timeline reads;

820 application was Sept 2018
granted June 2020
801 application was August 2020
Thank you. I don't really know how to tell my agent yet. For 801 evidence, can I upload some of the same evidence I had already uploaded for 820 during the last two years? - because I had kept up with recent evidence while waiting for 820, and they would qualify for 801.

I think that the idea is to show how the relationship has also progressed since being granted the 820. Maybe it's best to wait for another response from the top advisors on here.

As for telling your agent. Mine was being very persuasive and accommodating, even when I was adamant that I would go ahead with the second part alone. I found it quite daunting actually.

Sorry to hear about your experience with the agent, must have been stressful. I actually thought they would have more clients during covid because the new restrictions complicates things for many visa holders.

I was not quite clear when I was talking about re-uploading the same evidence. While we were waiting for a 820 decision after we applied, we had traveled and had social activities with family and uploaded much of those to my 820, to show a continuing relationship. So they are evidence that demonstrate relationship progression since 820 was applied for. However I'm not sure if I can "reuse" them for 801. Maybe this wouldn't be an issue for people who had a faster 820 grant, but ours took 22 months and I had already uploaded much of the new evidence to my 820 so I wonder if it is acceptable to use them for 801 too.

hi all,
I am now filling up 801 form for my husband.
There is a question in the sponsor section regarding does the sponsor hold any other passport.
I (sponsor) received my Australian passport yesterday for the first time. I was Indian citizen and still have Indian passport. However India doesn't give dual citizenship so I have to do the process of cancelling my Indian passport.
So in the meanwhile for this application should I include my Indian passport details?
Bit confused
any help will be appreciated

Hi, I am in the same situation :

Applied for 820/801 : 2019 Jan/Feb
Granted for 820: 2020 Oct
To Apply for 801: 2021 Jan/Feb

I was thinking to do my 801 myself, but I do not have the immi account, the agent uses his. So, is it possible to apply 801 with different immi account as in I create one for myself.

Wondering how you do it.

Thanks!
