Does anyone know in what cases the 820 application can be rejected? My application has a bit of a mark that I switched colleges due to not liking the quality of studies there could that be dangerous? also does anyone know whether the application can be processed faster with the help of a agent from experience?

The 820 is a partner visa your education shouldn't come into consideration. An agent may help get your application together quicker but once it's sent to Immi then you're in the same waiting game as everybody else.

An 820 visa is based on your relationship not your studies.

Having an agent does not make DIBP process the application faster. An agent makes sure you have a good application.

I have already posted this on the facebook group but figured I'll announce it here as well

I got granted my PR on 21 July 2017! What a relief. I had given up hope.

I applied on my eligibility date which was 19th July 2016 so it took roughly a year.

From Norway, no children and not married (yet!)

No contact from DIBP but I did e-mail them to complain about the processing times a few weeks ago but have no idea if this made any difference.

I kept uploading additional evidence to the application while I was waiting.

If anyone got any questions, I am happy to answer them

Morning friends,

Just a question. We have got a newly born baby. I have applied for the birth certificate of our baby. As I have been waiting for my visa 100 for the last 12+ months, should I send the scanned birth certificate to Brisbane Partner PR 100 processeing centre or I should wait for them to contact me. I belief this is a change in circumstance and needs to be updated in my application.

I know it will not speed up the process but just to update the answer in my application as it only hard 2 kids before.

Thanks in advance
Hassan

Hi guys, I have a 801-related question as I'm a bit worried...
My initial application was 11th August 2015. 820 was granted in May 2016.
So my eligibility date for 801 is coming up very soon. Obviously DIBP say they get onto you about it 'shortly before that date' to tell you what you need so submit etc . Except I haven't heard anything. I called them a week or so ago to ask when I could expect them to contact me and the very helpful (haha) gentleman said he didn't know either. Then he offered he could send me the information anyway. I gave him my email address (he didn't even know what a hyphen was???) and he sent me the migration booklet about the 820 visa. So I feel like there is no point calling them again. Do I just lodge an 801 application on my eligibility date without them having contacted me first?
Have any of you had to do that / heard about someone doing it?
I'm just so worried about something going wrong haha

Thank you!!

We complained about the lack of communication about the change in processing times. We were told that it would take 6-8 months to process so we planned our future accordingly. We are going overseas in a few weeks to get married and we will be away for a considerable amount of time and we were worried about what would happen if the visa got granted while overseas. We highlighted that was causing us a fair bit of stress really close to our wedding.

I got a reply back basically saying that replying to e-mails like mine was taking time away from actually processing applications so they basically told us to f off and wait it out so I have a feeling that the complaint did not make much of a difference in regards to the grant but who knows?
