I have few questions :
My visa status is now on further assessment.
1. I'm still on initial application 820 however, it will be 2yrs next month.
2.Is the 2yr marked to apply for 821 is regardless the 820 granted or not?

3. As I read in this thread mostly have received an email reminding eligibility for 821 on their 23rd month. I haven't received this.
4. If it's you, will you apply for 821 or wait for the email from the CO?

Thanks again to everyone
My visa has been approved feb 19 straight to PR. After day after I sent the inquiry form to Hanoi where my application was processed.

I noticed that the processing times have changed this week from 11 - 20 months, to
12 - 21 months.
I'm wondering why the times have lengthened if no-one has been able to travel here and submit an onshore application?

These subclass 801 visas that were finalised in January 2021, with 75% taking under 12 months and 10% taking over 21 months, would be mainly for subclass 820 holders that had applied 2 to 3 years ago.

Often these onshore applicants might have been in Australia for some years prior to meeting their new partner, and making their first 820 application. The 801 application is then 2 years after that.

At least they are reducing the numbers still waiting to be finalised.

At 31/07/2020 there were 89,243 subclass 801 applications in the pipeline.

At 31/12/2020 there were 85,432 subclass 801 applications in the pipeline.

However, it is only a small reduction.

We've been married since 2014 living in the Philippines. We moved here feb 2019. once we got settled, we applied March 11,2019. My application was front loaded. I have no agent l, every time we got new mails/invoice on either names I attached it. We have very limited friends here.My 888 were coming from my family back home and last Oct 2020 my two Filipino friends became PR as well so I asked them to write my form 888.
My first correspondence was dec 18,2020 asking for my remedical and my husbands new afp. I was able to comply these two Jan 20,2021. Clicked the "i confirm" 27th of January. February 18, 2021 I used the inquiry form to attach my husbands afp address to Hanoi where my application was processed. Incase my CO didn't look at my application. Also i wrote I asked if it will be possible to be granted both visas. February 19, 2021, I got double grants.

A bit of what I did:

We have no picture or socialisation evidence attached since lodgement. However, my family were sending us cards on Christmas and birthdays so I attached those. Also we don't dine out together my husband doesn't like going out. Instead, we did online shopping every now and again addressed to both our names. As we have no bills under both our names either. I attached invoices from the online shopping. We have no wills, we only have a joint account from the Philippines that's actually dormant. We have joint assets back home.
Good luck!

In the inquiry form choose Hanoi. You can find this in the letter they sent you where options of replying them stated it's a link. when u click it, it's the inquiry form.
