[QUOTE=a5tr1d_aja;1630818]Hi Mish, what is DV? I was holding tourist visa when I applied 820 on 30/6/2015.[/Q

DV means domestic Violence.

Oh.... my based is not DV. I spoke with some one from Northern Settlement Service, she said I can change visa with DV visa, but I think to my self maybe it will take more longer if I change my visa as I already sent the 801 couple months ago.

So the point is, should I change my visa? or just wait for my PR maybe will coming soon. Any suggest??

Is the eligible date means when you first time applied? Or when you lodge the second stage?

I red my letter and it says my eligible date will be on 30/6/2015.

I'm so confused coz that date is when I applied 820.

Your eligibility date is 30/6/17 (2 years after you applied for your 820) - your PR will not be soon. Based on other timelimes you would be looking at 12 to 18 months.

If you are not in a genuine relationship anymore then DIBP will reject the visa. They would also reject if your partner withdraws their sponsorship.

You still apply for the 801 but it is under the grounds of DV not a genuine relationship.

Your friend is just lucky (majority of people are waiting longer than 2 months). Even 100's on this forum we are seeing a long wait too. There are multiple people waiting over 12 months.

The processing times is due to the fact they need to be more thorough now because of fraud and that they have alot of applications and they only grant a specific number a year.

Hi everyone,

Longtime lurker, first time poster here. Just wanted to say thank you to this forum and all the people here who have given such useful advice in navigating the partner visa process! Yesterday I was granted PR and wanted to say thanks to the forum that helped me so much.

I figured I'd post my timeline in case anyone has similar dates:

July 8, 2013 - came to Australia on a WHV
July 8, 2014 - applied for the first stage partner visa
Sept. 15, 2015 - temporary partner visa approved
July 8, 2016 - eligible to apply for the second stage partner visa
Sept. 6, 2016 - completed second stage visa application
Aug. 1, 2017 - Permanent residency granted!

I ended up sending DIBP a message using the link provided on this thread about two weeks ago. Woke up yesterday to an email saying my visa had been granted!

Hello everyone,
I'd like to have a clarification over the 801 evidence and eligibility date.
I've applied for 820/801 on August the 7th 2015.
1)Is my eligible date August the 7th 2017?
2)Do I have to submit evidence of 12 months starting from the day I've received my 820 (september 2016)?
Thanks,
Alice
