2)Do I have to submit evidence of 12 months starting from the day I've received my 820 (september 2016)?
Thanks,

Yes, your eligibility date is 7th August 2017. You submit evidence since the grant of the 820 (in your case it is 11 months of evidence).

Forgot to mention.I have been offered a 6 month traineeship in europe starting January 2018.
If I accept the offer will the visa be denied?
My partner and I are already talking about flights and visits for that 6 month period but we don't know if this will affect DIBP's decision.

thanks
A.

Hiya,

I know this has been asked several times before however the Search engine was not helpful and I couldn't find the answer.

My partner and I are travelling back to the UK for three weeks to visit our families and we where wondering how do we contact immi to let them know ?
Also from watching this forum 801s are being approved around the 11 month mark, which for us will be the month we are away! I was wondering if anybody knew if this will encourage it to be approved before the trip or the opposite way and we'll be forgotten about for another year ? Or neither!

Thank you !

The 801 can be granted regardless of where you are in the world so traveling shouldn't affect it.

I'm pretty sure an 801 is an on shore visa so you have to be 'on shore' for it to be approved.

Hang about !
That apparently only applies to the 820!

"You can be in or outside Australia when a decision is made on the permanent Partner visa (subclass 801)."
states the gov website, Is there confirmation that's correct ? I've always been told you have to be on shore for the decision ?

Onshore for the 820, anywhere in the world for the 801. That's the way its always been as far as Ive been told.

That's such comforting news ! I've thought this entire time I had to be on shore !
Thank you SkyBlue & Tarlar.
Do I still have to notify them of leaving the country then ?

cant hurt, in case they need to contact you while youre away. I'd just upload a statement to your Immigration account stating tyhe dates and where you'll be staying and how best to contact you.
I dont think it's a requirement though.
