I got an emailed back confirming what they had and telling me I had 28 days to upload what was missing - am I being a little too optimistic in hoping this means a grant is coming my way soon?

On my IMMI account it says it's been received but not been assigned for assessment. I put my application in last July (2016).

I had this exact thing happen to me but unfortunately it's been months since I re uploaded and I've had no replies from Immi. As you've been waiting a little longer than I have it could be a different outcome and I hope it is for you! Good luck, keep us posted !

Hi Guys, a question for the mods of the group.

My wife finally has obtained a job in her field of studies (she is a marine biologist) woooooo after two years of looking for work, the only problem is it is not in Australia. What is the best way of notifying DIBP? I have found the 1022 form however it does state the following:

"You do not have to notify the department of any changes in your
circumstances that occurred:
after you were granted your visa (if you applied for your visa in
Australia"

Does this mean once the 820is granted or the complete 801?

She has obtained a 12 month contract so we will be living apart for this time period.

Thanks
SP

How long have you been waiting? I just thought it strange they gave me a precise timeline to do it in. I'm also master at overthinking haha.

I applied in October 2016 & uploaded half my evidence again in June 2017.

Don't worry, I don't think anyone on this forum overthinks their visa as much as I do haha.

Global Progressing time is very clear currently risen that 19-24 months, exactly 2 years after 801 lodge

Some ppl obtained their grants around 12 months, some their over 20 months.

This is actually incorrect. They say 75% within 19 months and 90% within 24 months, so it is not 19-24 months.

We have seen quite a few around the 12 months mark lately, which is within 19 months.

Not sure why people think it's 19-24 months. A visa processed in 1 month or 6 months or 9 months falls into the 75% category. The 19 months is the higher end of the percentage.

Hello all

I have been a big time lurker and was wondering if anyone has had this experience. Like most of you I am waiting for 801. I will reach the one year wait makr on 17 September. Last week an immigration officer called one of my referee up (8 something form) but it was a referee I had put down in my inital 820 application. The website states that my application has not been assigned a case officer but why would they call up to ask about us? Can anyone please help or have experienced the same situation give me a heads up? Thanks

From what I've heard they very rarely update the website with your 'progress'.

In regards to why they called it's hard to pin point exactly why, did you do new 888's for your 801? If so they could just be back checking when you became a de facto? Or seeing how friends view your relationship etc.
Could be just to simply check everything legitimate.
I would try not to worry, it's great that somebody is looking at your case!
