Hi All,
I have a quick question regarding the "Evidence while apart".
My wife (the sponsor) went overseas for a couple of weeks, and I have a very strong reason for not being with here.
However, I have uploaded the money transfers (Western Union) to her as an evidences of communications while apart.
My question, do I still need to take screenshots or chat history from WhatsApp? it seems to me useless as they can’t verify it.
Waiting for your advises.

Thanks in advance.

You can technically withdraw money with any WU agent, or you can just simply cancel the transaction. So it is better to have a receipt to prove that your partner actually get it. Let give the CO nothing left to suspicious.

Hello!

Been on here reading for while now and I finally managed to submit my application for the 801 yesterday, after making sure all the evidence were in place to be attached straight away.

I submitted the application and it said application received for maybe 20-30 min and then went into application in progress "Your application is currently being assessed. The department will be in touch if any additional supporting documents are needed". Could it really be that they are processing my application straight away? We have a child and married 2 years....

Cheers
Lena

Unfortunately mostly likely not.
Mine went straight to assessed and it's been that way for 10 months now.
It's just a 'stage' after you've uploaded all your info and documents.
Sorry!

Dear all,

My 801 got approved today.
Eligibility date was 13/10/16
so around 10.5 months waiting time.

820/801 initially lodged via paper on the 13/10/2014
Lodged the 801 online.

DIBP did not contact us for anything.

All the best for those who are waiting.

I am happy to help anyone with any doubts.

thank you to this group

Congratulations Pikachufan for the grant of your visa. 801 visa grants are frequent and shorter processing times than 100 visa nowadays. I have been waiting for 14 months now.

Enjoy your life with your partner.
