Hi all,
My wife's visa was granted a couple of hours ago, I thought I would share my timeline with you all as this forum has provided so much information to us.

Applied for 820 visa August 2014
820 granted August 2015
Applied for 801 visa August 2016
Granted today!

Couple of weeks ago we filled in the the complaint feedback asking for resolution as it was impeding ability to get mortgage, stress etc. We also highlighted at the time of application it stated 6-8 months processing (provided the email which stated it).
They replied to this feedback this morning with the standard information about processing times from the website and that the feedback would be provided to the processing centre to do with as they pleased.
3 hours later it was granted!

You guys must be from low risk country. For me and others from high risk, they won't bother answer should we send email to ask for an update. I personally don't believe they process applications in a fairly manner. As for myself, it took nearly 18 months for 820 visa to be granted (advised 6 to 8 months at that time) then another 23 months plus a formal complaint before PR (again, was told 12 to 15 months as standard global timeframe)

Anyway, congrats!

Congratulations. Please tell USA little bit about your background.
What subclass visa did you apply for ? Did you apply online ? Paper ? Any contact from the immigration?

All the best
Well this is an 801 waiting group so surprisingly 820/801 .. we applied online, no contact from immigration and we never contacted them either. I'm from the UK. Good luck y'all and it's peace out on this forum from me xo

Link is here. https://www.border.gov.au/about/cont...enship-service

It says 6-8 months in the email we received after we submitted the 801 application. Remember, this was received in July 2016, so the email templates may have changed after this.

Hello everyone,

I just want to share my happiness about my childhood dream come true:

Today I received my grant letter from Immi (100, 801) and I'm still in shock after hours. I have waited for this day for so long I thought it would never happen.. Especially with waiting times extending every year.

My data:
Origin - German
Partner - de facto
Family stage 1 applied offshore online 23.05.14, approved 02.03.15
Family stage 2 applied 09.05.16 online, approved 18.09.17
Never contacted Immi, only filled out applications

I wanted to live in Australia since I was 14 yo.. I did W&T in 06/07 and 09/10 plus 1st partner visa in 2010 but seperated in 2012) - Now I am 29 and my dream has come true.
Never give up, never let go of your dreams!

Hi all - my husband and I are in the process of applying online for the 801/Permanent Visa.
We are currently at the stage where we need to upload the 888 forms (declaration by supporting witnesses) Should we use the same people again, or new ones, what's better? Last time we have submitted quite a few, a form from both our mums, 2 friends, my husbands brother and a family friend, so we had quite a few...
Thanks
