happy91 , what sort of questions did immigration ask your wife regarding jobs? The reason why I'm asking is because my hubby is struggling to find employment on his temporary visa and I hope immigration is not holding the grant of his PR because he does not have a job .

Hi everyone,

It is great reading these posts to see how everyone is getting on.

I am in the same situation waiting for my 801 to be approved but I was hoping someone could provide some advice in regards to my application. Please see my timeline below:

Nationality: UK
Applied Onshore with an agent: 29/10/14
820 Visa Grant : 07/12/15
Email prompting 801 Application completed: 27/08/16

It has now been almost 3 years since I initially applied for the 820/801 and I have not heard anything from the DIPB.

My question is am I in the same boat in terms of time frame as everyone else? I feel it has been dragging on for a long time and I have now been turned away job offers due to my current 'in limbo' status.

I tried to call the DIPB several times during my lunch hour at work but I was number 200 in the queue every day.

Is it worth trying to contact the DIPB or am I still in the waiting time frame zone?

Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

Hi everyone,

good news! I got my 801 visa finally on 19 of September.
my history:
- applied 13 Jun 2014
- 820 granted beginning of July 2015
- 801 granted 19 Sep 2017
no contacts from IMMI
high risk country
little bit more than 15 month of waiting.
I uploaded a 2. police check after 11 month of waiting.
Good luck to everyone who is waiting.

To honest you are still within the processing time which went up recently .
They are people on this forum who have been waiting longer than you but you can be lucky to get a grant .

A bit of patient it will come in due season .
My husband has been waiting 15months +
