I submitted the application on February 2014 , get 820 at November 2014 , and my eligible dated for 801 is on February 2016. I have sent a letter and updated evidence since last week . But no any response till now . As I see the global processing time is 16-22months . Just thinking if waiting up to 22months , how should I do after that ? feeling so helpless and hopeless. Not easy to find a full time job related to my subject in local companies with no PR. Should I complain them after 22months ? Or ask a lawyer to do something or sort of ?
20 months is an awfully long time. I would put in a complaint online, list how it is impacting your life i.e with work and explain that you have been updating your application throughout the waiting time.

Hopefully it'll catch somebody's eye and they'll look into your case.

Hi everyone, I m new here but was browsing around for a while. I would like to ask if anyone have some idea of the immi account status. When I submitted my evidence and clicked the submit button a year ago, my status turns to 'assessment in progress' straight away. But two weeks ago it turns to 'your case is currently being assessed, an officer will contact u.......'. Please notice its not on the page when u just log in but the page you click into the case and shows on the headline.

Does anyone have an idea what this means? And my timeline attached for you to refer:

Submitted 820: 15/09/2014
820 granted: 5/10/2015
Eligible date: 15/09/2016
Final: still waiting

Thanks a lot everyone. Keep on and live with hope. We getta love ourselves and live good days everyday anyway. Wish you all the best.

Hi guys, been a while since I've been here but just thought I'd do an update.

So my 801 application went in on 6th June 2016.

Recently I went to upload some documents for our upcoming trip and realise that nothing I had previously uploaded was there!! Cue major panic attack and one and a half hours on hold waiting to speak with Immigration. My fault or there's I don't know but I had only six things uploaded!! The lady gave me an email address for the Melbourne processing centre to contact them.

I emailed don 23/8/17 simple to ask if they could see what I uploaded, I got a generic email in reply then on the 24/08/17 I was sent an email with details of what was missing and told I had 28 days to upload it.

I've done my 28 days and uploaded everything but not heard any more back from them. On my account it still says it has been received but has not been assigned for assessment!

really hoping it comes in before November as we are travelling back to the UK for Christmas!

I was going to update the spreadsheet but don't think I can, not sure if this is worth being on there.

Mish likes this.

Yep and you can't really talk to anyone about it because nobody really understands. I just describe it as waiting for a little grey cloud called "what if" to stop hovering over my shoulder!

I always feel like I'm on edge and have to have a backup plan. I've no doubt we'll get granted as we have way more evidence this time (we had mostly long distance relationship evidence for the 820 part) but yeah, it's still putting your life in the hands of a complete stranger!!!

I hear your concern as well . I feel so bad for my hubby coz heís trying to secure permanent work which is a pain with no PR and WA employment market is the worse at the moment .

So he decided to go back to uni this semester AMEN to international fees

Well, our 309 had little evidence because we were in a long distance relationship as well but got approved within 7 months .

For our subclass 100 we have way more but only God knows why itís taking long .

I hope immigration has not placed me on the black list coz Iíve sent them 5 emails this year and the last email I got from them was not a friendly one .

I am in the same case where they asked for further evidences and it's been more than 28 days. It's killing me!

I have a question though. If the visa is rejected when I'm overseas, can I still re enter the country in the 28 days period? Or it's effective immediately?

Don't think it would happen, but just to have my mind clear!

At least you were asked further evidence thatís a good sign ( somebody looked at it )

Regarding rejection while offshore I donít think you can come back .

I asked a similar question last month and I got a NO responses from few members .

My husband is thinking of going back to our home country to see his parents but we are hesitating still .
