I fill out the application, hit save, but when I go back I have to start from the beginning.

Does anyone know why this is happening? I use chrome. It would be useful to know why as sometimes the application times out and I have to repeatedly start over.
Hi HRose, that's how it's work, it's normal.
you will start the application from the beginning again but you will find the fields that you had filled before there.

ha ha wow, I feel a bit dense...after the troubles I had with my 820 app I just assumed the worst.

Thanks for clarifying, Syr, this should make things a bit better for me!

Edit: Sorry more questions, it's asking if it's been a total of 24 months since I applied for 820. I'm one day over. I know that some people put in their applications sometimes months, late so I hope I'm not too late...but do I check yes or no?

HRose313, you need to tick yes. It wont allow you to proceed if its under 24 months, so one day over is absolutely fine...

hi guys,
It's been a while since i posted asking repetitive questions so i figured it's about time! We originally applied for the 820 on the 5th of June 2015. Applied for the 801, April this year. Approx what date should we expect some response on the 801?

We are planning to go back to Brazil in March 2018 to introduce our daughter to my husband's family and concerned it might come through during that month.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

Further to this,my hubby's account says "information - Important information - This application is currently being assessed. The department may contact the applicant if further supporting documentation is required." however it has been like this for some months now so i'm uncertain if that is a common statement in most immi accounts.

Hey guys, I have past my 12month mark and I complained to dibp last week, got a standard response today saying they have increased the processing time blah blah blah, should I still take it to ombudsman?

You can try but based on other people you will probably get told they won't investigate.

Unfortunately there is no approximate date. From what I have seen alot seem to be around 14 months or so after eligibility date.

You can be anywhere in the world when the decision is made.

Hey Mish, What has me a little confused is eligibility date. Is that from the date that you originally applied for the 820? So for us would that be the 5th of June 2015? Also, when you say we can be anywhere in the world - so it won't matter if we are outside Australia when it is approved? Thnx and I hope you are well.

Your eligibility date is two years from when you applied for the 820, so yours is 5 June 2017
