Thanks...
1/ Technically it is not an application as you paid the application fee when you lodged the 820/801. You are technically providing them with further evidence of your relationship even though they call it an application form. I hope it makes sense because it does sound confusing.

2/ Yes the same processing times for the 801 for everyone. It is only the 820 that takes shorter time.

DIBP are not sending the emails anymore to tell people when they are eligible, it is up to everyone to know when they are eligible. I think it may have also had something to do with people using the email to go to the ombudsman to complain about the processing times.

what is the visa type you will be granted in case of 801 refusal.
I understand that he can appeal to AAT(Administrative Appeals Tribunal) but what is his visa status while waiting for AAT decision? and does it allow him to apply for any other visas like Skilled Visa?
If the 801 is refused and they are in Australia they will be granted a BVA. You will need to check the skilled visa requirements to see if they can apply for a skilled visa from a BVA - some visas you need to hold a substantive visa to apply.

Hi guys,

After you have uploaded your docs on your immi account for Permanent Residency, does immigration usually contacts you to upload more recent evidence if it takes 2 years to get PR granted?

I think it is a case by case basis. I have heard of some having to submit extra evidence but other people wait 15/17/19 months and don't get asked for extra evidence. I guess it depends on the level of the evidence you submit.

Hopefully you don't have to wait too much longer. Mine was just around 12.5 months of waiting.

Yes lots of celebrating with mocktails. Wanted to break out the champagne but being 7 months pregnant, I opted for lots of yummy food instead
