U mean Q55? It asks for the date de facto relationship began. It would be the date you and your partner living together. I think immigration is concerned of the date of de facto relationship rather than the dating date. To be de facto partner you must fulfil all the criteria listed under the term 'de facto relationship' in the partner migration booklet.

What if in Question 55, ENGAGED is what was the category that was ticked. How will question 58 be answered if engagement date is Oct 2014.

It's the date you got engaged.

If you're applying for a PMV, how do you not have an engagement date? When did you become engaged?

You can't apply for the PMV without already being engaged... it's a visa for engaged couples.

Yes, I am aware of that. We already have a date but the actual personal proposal will still happen this May.

You already have what kind of date? Your wedding date? It doesn't matter if the proposal is in person or not. If you've had the "do you want to get married? yes!" conversation, that would count. My husband proposed by phone. Your engagement date needs to be BEFORE the date you're applying for the visa. It can't be after.
