I want to ask that is there minimum work experience requirement to get positive skill assessment or to get a 189 visa. I want to apply under Management Accountant Occupation and I am meeting sufficient points without assuming to claim any points from work experience attribute.
From a DIAC immigration point of view, there no minimum work requirement for the independent skilled PR visa (189) as long as you can achieve the points necessary through other means. Same goes for the skills assessment process from CPA and ICAA.
Thank you so much Mark. Your advice has been an asset for me. Highly appreciate. Now another concern is I do meet the minimum Australian bachelors requirement. However, I am not sure whether I meet 9 out 12 subject requirement for Accountancy profession. As I am a part qualified CIMA (11 out of 15 paper) I have a feeling that it might not be suitable but on the other hand when I see those 9 papers I do also feel that I have studied those. It's simple, I am resisting to stake my hard earned $450 fee for assessment when I am not even sure that it will be a wise expense/investment. Any suggestion/advice as per my case?
As I understand it those types of decisions (equivalency/subjects) are made on a case-by-case basis by the skills assessor based on the specifics of your studies.
