Hi i'm just new here so i apologise if i have reposted the same question in a past thread.

Me and my wife(currently in thailand because of her student visa 'no further stay' condition) are gathering all the required forms and evidence to apply for an offshore partner visa.

We met at March 2012, became officially a couple at July 17,2012.. and married at January 22 2013..

What are my chances of getting the visa granted?
I'm stressed that we might be declined because we lack sufficient evidence regarding financial aspects of our relationship since we're just newlyweds with a not much history..
Any help will be much appreciated.

If you've been together for a year, surely you have some financial intermingling? Even if you don't have a joint bank account, can you show that one of you paid a bill one month, and the other paid it the next month? Can you show you paid bills that were in her name? Can you show any money transfers between your accounts? Can you show one of you paying the utilities at an address while the other paid the water bill for the same address?

Go through and figure out what you might be able to supply. I would think there would be something. If your evidence is strong in other categories, though, and you've been married for more than six months (and together for longer) I think your chances could still be very good depending on what evidence you're able to gather.

They're going to take a more hard-line stance on financial intermingling for defacto visas than they do for spouses, but you still want to be able to demonstrate as much as you can.

Hello, If you have declared the relation to govt agencies or other institution, then that is a strong evidence of nature of commitment, also try to explain the situation about finances like when together who was working, paying rent, other household etc. If you are married then nature of commitment and proof of genuine and continuing relation will make your case strong. Just try to get all the documents or atleast whatever you can which are mentioned in the partner migration booklet. I highly suggest you to spend some time reading partner visa sticky thread here. You will get lot of information from there.
