Question Change of Address for BVB?

Hello there!

Hopefully, someone can enlighten my situation as I'm stressing. I'm currently 14 months into my De Facto visa 820 application (submitted everything).

I am traveling to see my family ( and my father will have a heart surgery ) in Turkey, I will leave on the 11th of June 2017 and will stay around 27days.

So today when I logged in my Immi account to apply for BVB, I read this little detail in below:
"If the applicant intends to reside at an overseas address for a period of 14 days or more, complete the 'Change of Address' form which can be found in the 'Update us' page. The applicants' address must also be updated on their return to Australia."

Is this mean I have also need to "change my address" to my overseas address, and then once I come back I need to change to Melbourne address?

I would think so.
For the 309 I also had to inform DIBP of every change of address.

But it is really easy. You just do it in your immi account and it will be saved to your 820 application's submitted document list. It's done within a minute.

Thank you very much for your help. I think I will do the same thing after this week. Fingers are crossed!

Yes! You have to be onshore when 820 is granted, so you want them to know that you will be out of the country for that period.

Hello syd,
I know BVB is that for. But I was confused about "address change" form and let the department know once I got back to Melbourne.

Often BVB is granted for a greater period than which you will travel, so they can't assume that you'll be out if the country for the entire duration of BVB . In addition, if they need to formally contact you via post they have a current address for you. Not everyone apply online or opt for electronic communication.

I'm just guessing the rationale for the requirement

Hi,
yes you need to update your address as you need to be onshore at the time of decision of your application for partner visa
