She can enter Australia from anywhere when her 309 is approved. The only requirement is that she is not in Australia when it is granted. As for processing times, I have no idea but it might be worth checking out the timeline feature on the website to get an idea.

Thanks whitney bt i am bit confused that what will happen if my wife goes back to her country and the case officer ask about any other document from canada. Does she ring to case officer or email and ask from her about any further documents from canada before she leaves or no thnks again..

Where is your wife right now? In Canada? and want to travel to Australia before 309 grant? If this is the case then yes you need to inform CO about this travel plan as your wife needs to be outside Australia at the time of 309 grant.

and yes CO can be contacted via email.

Yes. Definitely inform your CO of your wife's plans to travel. There should be no problem with her travelling but you should let them know how they can contact her. And if they need more documents from Canada it might be harder for her to chase them up from another country but certainly not impossible.

When her tourist visas were denied had you already submitted your 309/100 application? And did they give a reason? Now that you have lodged your partner visa application she may have a better chance of getting a TV approved so she can wait out her processing time in Aus with you.

The reason I asked is because I have heard of people getting refused tourist visas to Australia because they have stronger ties to Aus than to the country they are applying from (often times it is when they have a partner in Australia). So now that you have applied for the permanent visa she may have an easier time being granted a TV to stay with you in Australia while her visa is processed because they know that she is planning to migrate to Aus and has taken the appropriate steps to do it within the system.
