Looking for reliable Immigration Consultants

Hi friends,

I am looking for a good and reliable consultant in Bangalore for Australia immigration.

I searched around and found a few names like Y-axis, WWICS, SK migration, Abhinav. But all of these consultants have reports of fraud and cheating posted against them. This has really confused me and not sure who I can go ahead with.

I prefer to go via the consultant route mainly because I am not able to find the time to go through the immigration process myself. I also believe some consultants are genuine and can truly benefit us and guide in the process by leveraging their experience.

Please help to shed some light and share some personal experiences. Thanks.

You could always use a MARA-registered migration agent based in Australia. Most of them are comfortable conducting business online, by phone, by mail, etc.

Original Nationality: US
Visa #1: PMV (300) through Washington, D.C
Applied: April 2013.
Visa Granted: January 2014.
Visa #2: Subclass 820 (From PMV).
Applied: End of April 2014.
Visa Granted: Early July 2014.
Visa #3: 801 (PR)
Eligibility Date: End of April 2016 (Applied a month prior).
PR Granted: Early April 2017.

I agree with CollegeGirl. Use an agent from Australia. Most of the files can be scanned and emailed for submission. There are only a handful that need to be certified and original.

You are best off this way.

Hi js_oz -

With a registered migration agent, you at least have the protection that if the agent doesn't act properly, you can lodge a complaint with the government licensing body (www.mara.gov.au) and they will go after the agent. With non-registered agents, you have no such protection.

I and most other agents I know work with clients from around the world via Internet, phone, skype and scanned documents - it's completely normal. Some even work nights (yawn!) to be available for phone consults evening time so it's convenient for overseas clients in different time zones.

The MARA site is a great place to find agents, or get recommendations from friends or others who are happy (or not!) with an agent - that's the best way to get a level of confidence about an agent before you contact him/her. After you do contact an agent, I suggest you ask them some questions to make sure you're comfortable working with them (ie, personalities match OK) and that they are responsive to your requests. You're interviewing them, after all! Treat it like you were hiring an employee and only choose one if you're comfortable and confident after talking with or emailing with the person.

Hope this helps - good luck with your visa!
