Can i get my qualifications assessed under two different occupation titles?

I just got approved for Welfare Worker - ANZSCO CODE 272613 but I have now realized that is the wrong occupation. I want to be assessed for Welfare Centre Manager - ANZSCO CODE 134214 (i meet all requirements) The same agency assesses both occupations.

My reason for the change is simply, I can get Skilled Independent Subclass 189 Visa on the welfare centre manager approval.

Can I send in another application for approval ?

Hi Irishgirl50 -

It's best to contact the skills assessment authority directly about this. Some of the assessing authorities make this difficult to do, others don't care and are happy for the additional fees(!). I'm not aware of any ban that ACWA has against this - this would important especially for people who mistakenly put the wrong occupation on their original application and didn't discover it until the assessment was completed.

Best,

Mark Northam

I contacted ACWA with regard to submitting another application under a different occupation title, the following was my reply:

You can submit another skills assessment appli9cation under 'welfare centre manager'.
Please read the guidelines carefully before submitting your application.

I feel it's like a warning, or a threat.

Am I very analyzing it ?

Probably OK - but a very careful read of the guidelines would definitely be in order to make sure there are no specific guidelines that refer to multiple skills assessments, etc. Remember there are no "standard" rules for skills assessors - each one makes up their own rules, procedures, etc.

Best,

Mark Northam
