Smile Applied For Our 820!!! YAY! :)

After months of scouring this forum, compiling information, printing out and highlighting bank statements, chasing friends and family members for Statutory Declarations, saving up nearly $4,000, and basically stressing over every possible thing, my partner and I applied for our 820 Visa on Tuesday!!!

I just got the e-mail saying the payment has been processed and our application has been accepted as a valid application Oh, and my BVA will go into effect on August 21st (when my WHV expires), I can go back to working with no restrictions (hooray!!!!) and I'll be able to apply for Medicare )

We're still waiting on my fingerprints to come back (so many issues with the FBI! First they misplaced my paperwork and took months to take my payment, then my fingerprints weren't high enough quality, so I had to send them again!), and need to do my medical check

But it feels good to have everything else done. Feeling a bit nervous now...just hope it all goes smoothly from here on out! I couldn't have done it without all the help on this forum! Thanks to everyone!

Thank you!!! Out of interest, how long does it usually take for a CO to be assigned? And will they notify me when we have one?

Congratulations!!
I know what a great relief it is to have finally everything out of your desk
I just lodged my 820/801 application on 1.July...and beside the acknowledgement letter I haven't heard of immigration any more
But to be honest I don't expect much to happen in the next 6-12 months haha
I wish you good luck with your application!!

No idea when onshore COs are being assigned at the moment, but you're in for a long wait.... last I heard the wait time for 820s is up to 15 months. So settle in, you've got a long one ahead of you!

Thanks guys!!! It's such a great feeling Yeah, I figured it would be a long wait...my fiance is a lot more optimistic than I am (he thinks it'll be done in a few months- yeah, right!), but he's not the one on this forum reading about how long it really takes, haha
