Exclamation From student visa 573 to 189 visa onshore: early graduation, BVA, working rights

Hi Guys,

I need some advice on my visa situation.

I completed my engineering degree here in Australia early and will be graduating this month (July 2017), while the current VEVO system show that my visa expires in March 2019. I received an email from my school stating that my eCOE status has been changed from 'studying' to 'finished' due to early completion and that they have reported this to DIBP. They advised that I need to apply for a new visa within 28 days.

My questions are:

1. Should I apply for 485 PSW visa or should I straight up apply for 189 visa? (in the best case scenario that i will obtain EA accreditation successfully, submitted my EOI and get invited in the next round within the 28-day frame)

2. Assumed I get invited, I would receive a BVA visa. Can I apply for full-time work while my student visa 573 has not expired (having graduated and course not in session), and what about after 28 days and the BVA kicks in?

3. If I decided to apply for 485 PSW instead, I assumed there would also be a BVA after 28 days and before the PSW visa is issued. Can I work on that visa?

To sum it up, my main concern is whether I can work full-time on the remainder of my 573 visa, and also on the bridging visa BVA associated with either 485 PSW or 189. Also, what would be my best strategy now? Should I submit EOI and try my luck, and if I don't get invited towards the end of the 28-day timeframe, apply for 485 instead.

Sorry for the lengthy questions. Any help is much appreciated.
