Certified docs & Form 80

Hi, it's me again. This 2 time with 2 questions.

I am applying for the De facto spouse visa and was wondering if you really have to get every document certified. It is required not to lodge any originals, fair enough however that means that I gonna have heaps of copies. It's understandable that I have to get copies of Passport, Birth certificate etc certified, but do I also have to copies of the lease contract, bills, bank statement certified? I guess I have to hire my own JP then.

2nd question:
I just came a cross a question in form 80 (Character assessment) asking for all visits to countries outside of Australia in the last 10 years (including short stays). Country, Date and reason. Are they serious? In the last 10 years I must have been to about 50 places (multiple vistits included). There is no chance that I can make a complete list, especially with the correct dates. Do you think that's gonna be a problem?

Thanks for your help,
Rene

I think it was last year that an immigration department report came out for the four years ending 2006 it may have been; key comment worth noting was that something like on average 160,000 visa applications per year got refused.

A good way to fit in with that group would be to mess with what is asked for.
Use all the info provided in all links and the Application checklist to provide exactly what is asked for would be my reccommendation unless you want a better chance of blowing your application and fee.

I think the ten years that you refer to, you'll find is places where you have lived for the past ten years, and that implies being a legal resident.
If you have gaps within that ten years where you had no residence or were travelling for an extended period, then you state that,eg.

. between such and such dates you were backpacking around Europe using hostels or whatever.
. for whatever year it may have been if so, you were in Australia for instance on a WHV and if you had a particular address for more than a few months, it'd not hurt to list that and other than that, again lodgings were at various hostels.

Thanks Wanderer,
It is actually places visited. Paces where I have lived is a separate question. Unfortunately my travels can't be summarised as easy as backpacking through Europe. Anyway, thanks I will browse my brain and state everything as good as I can remember/find out.
Cheers

Maybe they have updated their form from what is shown on the web site - http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/80.pdf

Do you have a link to what you're looking at and what the item number is?

Sorry for the late response. It is question #26 in form 80. Your link is the correct one.
