Question PMV approved...chances of 820 being approved?

so I am here in Australia on my PMV...expires late january, and I plan on lodging the 820 soon. ive heard the PMV is a lot tougher to get approved, as the case officer really has a lot of weight on their shoulders to allow/not allow you to work/live in Australia. so my question is, if all our paperwork is in order, and relationship is still growing strong as it is,should all go well? im wondering if any 820s get denied after the PMV? ive heard of them being denied for lack of relationship evidence, and offshore, but after a PMV i would think most of the hard work has already been done/ thoughts, opinions anyone?

Hi rhodered, indeed getting PMV approval is the hard part. Several of us here got our 820 approved on the same day of our application.

Hi Rhode -

I remember seeing stats for that. I can try to find them if you want, but I seem to recall it was less than 1% of PMV to 820 applicants get denied! It was a startlingly low number. So you're good to go! Provide evidence you married and the relationship is continuing, you've combined finances, etc. and you should get your approval quickly! Best wishes.

The link to the original document no longer works for me, but check out Adventuress' post in here that quotes the information given to Parliament by DIAC: http://www.australiaforum.com/visas-...-rejected.html
