When to stop providing additional evidence??

Hi All

My question is regarding when do you stop providing additional evidence to show the your relationship is genuine?

The short version is. That my fiancee attended interview at approximately 4 months into the application, the average for his embassy is 9 month or less.

I did send the case officer my plane ticket for my upcoming visit and ask her if my fiancee needed to provide his will and if she needed our internal flight tickets, as well as saying for her to advise if she needed anymore information. Also asked about the processing time as wanted to keep the marriage celebrant in the loop. She replied:

Please note that you and Mr xxxx can provide all documents you feel may assist in establishing your relationship.

Kindly note that processing of Mr xxxx’s application is actively ongoing. The average processing time for this type of application is 12 months but Cairo has advertised we are looking to finalise applications within 9 months of receipt and earlier if possible.

Please be assured that you will be advised once the application is finalised.

Opinions, please? Is this generic or do you think she is not satisfied? We didn't have any engagement party and he didn't have an engagement ring (but I do) and I haven't met his family even though been there a couple of times, though she was happy that I had been back more than once.

This embassy really makes me nervous .... thinking my fiancee will need to pay for therapy for me real soon!!

That's just a generic response, Mish. I think the vast majority of applicants provide what they have at the time of application, and then only provide more if they're directly asked for it (which you weren't here). The more you give them to look through, the longer it's going to take them to look through it all, so if you think your evidence was adequate to start with, I'd try to sit back and relax. It sounds like you have a CO who would ask for more if she needed it. Just my opinion.

Thank for that CG. It is one of those things that if we were going through another embassy I would not be worried but with the embassy having to have alot of rejections it does concern me. I believe we provided adequate evidence but with an embassy that has rejected people on no engagement party or no wedding (for those that are married) this does concern me. I am hoping we will be one of the great success stories and future applicants of the embassy will not have to worry as much as I have had to.

It certainly doesn't hurt to provide more if you're concerned. I understand being worried! Fingers crossed for you!

I would send everything u can. I sent 7.8kg after an earlier rejection inc over 1000 photos over 4 years. After my Christmas trip I wrote and said I gave more photos and evidence and she wrote back and said no don't send any more she is satisfied about our relationship. So until ur case officer says that to u specially with a high risk country keep drowning them in evidence until u get same response as me. Just my opinion

Thank you so much for that . After the original lodgment have provided her with 2 more lots of additional documents (1 at interview and 1 when my fiancee dropped of his military certificate etc) which included more photos and travels together etc. I am going to see my fiancee in 6 weeks YAY!! I will bombard her with alot more photos.

Did you email her the additional information or did your fiancee take it to the embassy? Or maybe I will ask her if she prefers email or hardcopy.
