Red face Prospective Marriage Visa (Australia)

Hi everyone , I have applied for a fiance visa for my fiance to come to Australia ... My fiance is pregnant in her 5th month , Obviously she can't have the baby overseas ... i dont know how long before she gets a visa I am hoping 6 month i hope.

BTW she is Russian citizen , we are traveling soon overseas to stay with my family and for me to witness the birth of my baby.

My 1st question is how long do you guys think it usually takes before she get granted the PMV ? anyone with russian partner please answer.

My 2nd question is if we had the baby overseas and she did not get her visa yet , can she travel to australia becasuse of the baby ?

About 2 1/2 years ago our PMV was granted after a wait of I think around 8 months - it was processed in Moscow for a Ukrainian/s.

So 6 months may be optimistic (but things have changed at the Moscow embassy since our application).

She can travel with the baby - but they will both need a visa or her a visa and the child a citizenship by descent and an Australian passport assuming you are an Australian citizen (this is your cheaper option).

Hi AMPK. In your opinion, what has recently changed in Moscow, as opposed to back in 2014/15, if you don't mind me asking? Just curious. I have applied for a 12 month tourist visa for for my fiancee following a pmv application. Thanks, Nauman.

Persons from Ukraine and possibly other countries (Moscow use to process) visas for are no longer processed there - but they seem to get vetted a bit there, before getting forwarded on to the (from memory) European processing centre in London.
