457 main applicant visa granted, dependent visa rejected

Hi friends, my case is my husband's 457 visa was granted while mine as the dependent was rejected due to my previous student visa cancellation issue. I am given 21 days to appeal for merits. What is the best option to do? Should i appeal and get the bridging or should i apply partner visa for temporary? Should i go onshore or offshore? Currently i am still onshore. Which option will give the maximum success on application? Thx guys

Ok so you are in the ShYte.

You need to get professional help now, right now.

There are a number of very good Registered Migration Agents that post on this forum often - my recommendation is to contact one of them ASAP.

Hi, so sad to hear that ! Best way is to consult a professional migration agent as ampk suggested. In the meantime, may I ask some details? Your student visa had been rejected when you applied or cancelled after you got aproval? Different topic/different conditions but my touristic visa was rejected last year and now I'm waiting for a reply as 457 dependent. Thanks.

A bit of ozy slang put nicely.

You are in trouble, deep trouble.

Depending on your current visa, if you apply for a Partner Visa now you may need to meet the Schedule 3 requirements. This maybe impossible for you to meet and that would be throwing $7,000 away.

Thx Esra.. sorry to know ur case too my friend.. we are desperate arent we? yeah that day of annoucement, my husband didnt know if he was sad or happy. Yeahh i am planning to consult a prof migr ag. Doing it ... thx pal..
D student visa issue is before this 457 case. So while waiting for them grant the 457 visa (457 on d way processing) , my student visa was cancelled..it was because of some misunderstanding bout when to stop paying tuition fee and stop going to school-all those stuff... pufft
It is complicated though... Thanks

To PR.

Get one of the RMA's that often post on here - they are very good. I have used 2 but I see they are all very good and know their Shyte.

Unless I'm misunderstanding your posts, if your husband is on a 457 visa, you're not going to qualify for a partner visa. Those are only for partners of Aussie PR holders or citizens.
