Wanting to move to Australia, advice please

We are hoping to emigrate to Australia from England however going through the normal emigration doesn't seem possible for myself and my partner as our occupations are not on the skilled trade list, mine being a road traffic co-ordinator and my partners being a qualified Dump Truck Driver.

Is there other means for us to get the ball rolling on getting residency to Australia?

We have been told that also a student visa is out of the question as we have a 7 month old daughter.

We have seen on the internet through different sites that Australia are crying out for experienced Dump Truck Drivers so why isn't it on the Skilled trades list?

Does anyone know of Agencies or employers that consider sponsering families like us with this trade/ qualification?

Any advice or info would be kindly received.

Unfortunately there would not seem to be any options available.
There had a year or so ago been media articles about various mines seeking truck drivers and other machine operators and even how people from cities were giving up careers to go and enter the mining industry.

From late last year quite a few mines have severely reduced outputs or closed up operations completely and layed off employees, so demand is not existent right now.

There had been some lobbying of government to get a classification of drivers added to occupations that companies could recruit for overseas via the employer sponsored 457 visa but that has not taken place and likely not to with the Global economic situation.

Student Visas are expensive too and there are requirements for support funds.
