Hi -

Software Tester is only on the CSOL list, not the SOL list, so you would not be able to apply under the independent skilled visa program for that occupation.

Best,

Mark Northam

Hi -

You might want to look more closely at the 489 and 190 skilled visas. But for solid advice, you may want to book a consultation as there are thousands of pages of regulations for DIAC federal immigration laws, skills assessment authority regulations, and state sponsorship regulations (can be different for every state). It is not possible to give a quick/simple answer to which visa(s) you may be eligible for - it takes a very careful examination of all of your circumstances as compared to all the relevant regulations. Even one small problem can disqualify your application, so there is no substitute for a careful, detailed and thorough assessment of your circumstances.

Sorry I don't have a quick answer for you, but I believe it's far better to do the extra work at the beginning and make sure you satisfy all the various requirements, rather than finding out months later after you've spent thousands of dollars on (non-refundable) application fees that there is a problem.

If you'd like to book a consultation, you can click on the website link in my signature for more info.

Best,

Mark Northam
