Is is fairly standard for a visitor visa to be granted after a PMV has been lodged? We would aim for a 12 month for her and her son.

I am wondering if I am making some mistake in understanding the visitor visa conditions? For the 600 seems to state that consideration of intent of lengthier stay is paramount. Yet if a PMV has been applied for, surely that confirms the intent to remain?

Or is that path acceptable to the border control folk?

Also, I read that the 600 visa cannot include dependents? Such as a child under 18? I hope I am wrong on that score.

Can anyone kindly advise?

(I have a migration agent lined up to speak with! One of the four recommended on this forum.)

Good you have a RMA to talk to - you need to satisfy PAM 3 to the GTE requirements - if you want to try for a year best to use a RMA if you don't understand much of the system.

But still not a guarantee - but your best bet.
