Supply chain and Distribution manager skill assessment negative

Dear All,

Recently i received my skill assessment from AIM for supply chain and distribution manager-133611 and it turned out to be negative.

Although i accomplished all the requirements of assessment, a minor mistake in the organization chart resulted in negative decision. I've 3 subordinate managers reporting to me and each of them have 3 managers under their authorities as well. However, this was misinterpreted in the organization chart (connectors) and this minor error was overlooked by the agent as well.

I've written to AIM regarding this and still waiting for their feedback. Please suggest if i should apply for "review" or "appeal" in this case to get a positive outcome.

On an unrelated note sounds like you can save some money within your supply chain by cutting out some uneccasary middle management... 12 managers under you...

Thatís the sort of seniority the AIM requires. The AIM skills assessments are very tough.

When I was working for a blue chip company in that same role I ran with with less - it sounds like an excessive quantity of middle managers that he can probably reduce..

Assuming that it's a large scale company. If that second level is merely warehouse or transport managers then it's only a small company and still probably got excessive managers...

I wouldn’t have a clue about any of this, Mania. What I do know is that AIM looks for people at the top who are in charge of the managers of entire departments, who in turn are in charge of the next level of management.

It is a very challenging skills assessment. I am unable to advise the OP on the best way forward without reviewing his entire application and that’s not something I’m interested in doing right now.
