Graduate visa

My friend just graduated. He applied for graduate visa and it was refused. The reason of the refusal was that he didn’t attach the AFP check.
He had no idea he was supposed to do that,
even though he did read the checklist carefully.

Anyhow, now he’s been given 35 days to leave the country.

His student visa expires in March, but what I understood is that his current visa is his latest visa, which would be the bridging.

He intended to work a bit in his field of study, or perhaps assist his current employer until the next person comes along.

His refusal letter mentions that he can only apply for another visa in “very limited circumstances”.

So what are his options?

I recommend that you seek the advice of an Australian Registered Migration Agent as this is a complex question. There are some good migration agents contributing to this site.

I appreciate it, sir! He did just that and was told be the agent that he’s ok to stay beyond the 35 days since he’s a holder of a valid visa(student). Kind regards.
