Actually the 4th post stated that the OP should look into legal action. Not rub it into his face that his money went to decorating the agents home office...

This person may have bet the farm on this agent, risking a considerable amount putting his trust in him (if he is being truthful - and we have no way to confirm this as of yet). He may not have a grasp of the English language never mind the completely extreme verbage of the DIBP forms. He may not have even seen the forms or been able to comprehend the irregularities before they were submitted. I've seen many questions from native English speakers on this forum being stumped about the process.

So some anonymous person posts a request for info on a public forum (that's not supposed to resemble a hardcore political or sports forum methinks), and many forum users here just mug the guy like he is a criminal.

Edit: Also, as has been pointed out already, the agent has an address in Victoria and a MARA number (may not be legit).

It should also be noted that the OP publicly names and shames a Registered Migration Agent and may well leave himself open to be sued for defamation.

We don't know the facts of the case. If the OP's claims are true, then there is a procedure available to him to seek redress. On the other hand, maybe things didn't go his way for other reasons and he is seeking to blame the agent.

Yes very possible that is the case also, we just don't know who's to blame. If the OP is lying, I would assume the agent has enough proof to protect himself. The website is a bit pedestrian, but who knows...

I'm sorry, but the 4th post suggested he take legal action. From my understanding that is not the same thing as reporting the incident to MARA.

Not quite sure why you chose to pick on my reply which offered a constructive suggestion, as opposed to those who chose to just be offensive towards him, but whatever floats your boat.

Well we are splitting hairs here regarding restitution and forgetting the other comments about money. Guess your post was the last straw. Anyways lets put it to rest, sorry for reacting to your post. Hopefully the OP sorts it out or succumbs to his consequences.

No problem Tgny, thanks for the apology, it's appreciated.

I have dealt with lot's of similar people to the OP, and 99 times out of 100 I am charmingly polite, but not in this case. As you said, maybe he was the last straw for me too!

That said, you are right, it's too easy to judge from a distance, without knowing the facts. Will try to keep my own comments more constructive in future as well.

No harm done, all the best.

I don't know whether it's a good thing or a bad thing, but we will never build a wall separating us from the US. The good part of it is that Canada is still being Canada. Yeah, we get teased a bit, but (for the most part) we are still a free country that welcomes in the less fortunate, those in crisis and does so with open arms. I've had many arguments with folks who I once considered smart people about immigration since Trump came into power and it's shocking how their views have suddenly changed.

Right here. No longer feel safe driving the 35 minutes into Washington State anymore. Not worth the hassle to me or my partner, who as an Australian, gets a harder time than I would.
