Question Just needing reassurance on PMV

Hi all,

My fiance had his interview today and my gosh we were so hopeful but now i am feeling so sad and frustrated.

The interview went well but he was asked directly if his family was paying me to do this!

Some of our background:
we applied last year - now waiting 10 months next week . we knew it may take up to 12 months and are trying so hard to be patient. We are now expecting our first child and i am already 6 months along. The person who interviewed him didn't even know we were pregnant (i did inform the CO when we found out and sent medical evidence)He answered all the questions and was told they want more evidence of our contact over the last couple of months plus more private facebook messages and evidence of gifts and cards for his birthday. It sounds like they don't believe we are a geniune couple
What really bothers me is that i know of two couples who applied after us for the same visa and applied to the same overseas post who have now had there's approved.one only waiting 6 months and neither having an interview.
I can't help but think it is because these couple's were marrying people of their own nationality that happen to be Perminant residents of australia
We submitted so much evidence!!!!
Sorry for being so sad and needy but im so scared they are going to refuse our visa

Where did u lodge and what country is the applicant from. Diac can be very racist and suspicious. Bombard them with ten times mire than what they asked u for and quickly

Hi chicken999
My fiancée is tongan and we applied to the Fiji office( they do all the pacific islands) I've already felt some angst from islanders because I am a palangi(white person) but I i was really hoping that it would not play a part of our visa experience. I am planning on sending through 30 pages of private FB messages plus 3 months of phone bills showing our text messaging( literally over 100 pages) I could easily send them through the last nine months if bills! Ill also send more recipe puts of money transfers I have sent him plus more evidence if my trips to tonga to see him - I've been over 4 times 8 months. Oh and ill also send through evidence of me topping up his phone credit. He will give them the cards and letters he has plus the phone records he has to prove he rings me every day since April. Do u think this will be enough? I never thought I would be possibly facing having our baby alone. - and just typing that brings me to tears.

Oh and congratulations on your recent grant. I've been quietly following and I know you have struggled through this whole experience.

Oh gosh seems my auto correct has played havoc with some of the words in my last message ! I meant receipts of money transfers not recipes.

Oh no, Leesha. Chicken999 has given you some great advice... Normally we say don't overkill with evidence, but you're right - it does sound like they might have doubts about the genuineness of your relationship. I'd go ahead and send them ALL that evidence... Is there a summary page of the phone bill each month that says how many texts were sent and received, phone calls made, etc.? If so you could send that with a note attached saying you are more than happy to provide the rest of the phone bill if they want it but it's over 100 pages so you're just sending them the summary! Ugh, I feel for you. I can't imagine how scary it must be. I hope you get your grant SOON!

Hi collegegirl, unfortunately our phone bills here in aus don't give a summary but they do list every text sent with the time and date.My fiance and i average about 300 texts a month. That's why I thought I will only send 3 separate phone bills 2 months apart rather then the last 9 months worth! My fiancee is providing them with his phone calls to me every day since april. which equats to about 200 calls.his co mentioned that she is waiting on final clearnce form aus which she also said should come next week.I'm praying my heart out that we get the grant in the coming week I'm seriously about to throw a massive pregnant hormone Raged tantrum!!!

I really feel for you and at the same time I can understand too - my fiancee had his interview a few weeks ago and you always have in the back of your mind wondering what they are looking for and what they think of the answers.

When your fiancee was requested to attend the interview did they ask for him to bring anything to the interview? My fiancee was asked to bring 12 months of phone bills for both myself and him (we are both on prepaid so that was impossible) and bring any additional evidence since lodging like communication, cards, photos etc.

Like Chicken999 said just flood them with everything you have. Also do you have him as a beneficiary of your super? If not you could do that and give them that. Do either of you have a will? You could give them that too if you have them.

Hi mish,

No they didn't ask him to bring anything to the interview! We were both so excited by that as we thought ok they must have enough. I haven't yet added him to my super bennificary as I was waiting to do that after our wedding - which I haven't mentioned yet is set for September 27th! I was going to rewrite my will early this year but given we are getting married and having a baby I thought it best to wait to do it till after the birth of our baby boy as its required to have a new will after events like marriages and births anyway. I'm now gaining some hope back that the new evidence we will submit on Monday will be enough to show this is not a game for us and that we are genuine. Fingers crossed

It does sound like that they are just after more evidence because none was brought to the interview. The kind of stuff that they have requested is alot of what my fiancee brought to the interview.

You could probably do the super now, depending on your super company. Mine I put down that he was a fiancee and they don't have that category so they put him down as a spouse ... saves me having to do it again!!

I think (or like to think) that they request the evidence at interview because they want to make sure you are still in contact, they want to make sure that you didn't lodge the application and then stop talking.

Congrats on your wedding. Mine was meant to be 3rd of September and since we are still waiting and it is August 31st, I don't see that happening!!
