Request more information from the Immigration office

Hi
I am hoping I can get some assistant for my Visa.
The quote below is from the Immigration Department's email

Quote:
Grateful if you could also provide statements from people who are
personally known to you, for example your parents and professors at
university who would be able to support claims regarding your intent and
commitment to complete your course in Australia.
I am wondering what kind of statement do they need? Would it be just a letter saying I will be studying only in Australia?
Thanks

Looks like they are after statements to support your GTE statement (Genuine Temporary Entry).

GTE statement is standard documentation for student visa applications.

Hi CCMS
Thank you for the reply.
I actually have submitted GTE with my Visa application, does this mean I should submit another one?

It means you should submit letters from people like your parents and professors stating that they believe you will attend and commit to your course until completion...

Basically they are asking you to show that you aren't coming here to work or abscond and that you fully intend to actually study.
