WHV/de facto and starting own business

i'm on a WHV, then am hoping to move to a de facto visa (i used the WHV to get out here to live with my aussie boyfriend). Are there restrictions on starting up my own business? i love the lifestyle and would love to be able to work part time while i built up my own sideline business but am really confused as to whether i can do this on a temporary visa. any help is much appreciated! I've searched the forum for this and can't find an answer!

On a WHV or with a partner visa even whilst still TR you are eligible to do any work you want to, be it employed by another or self employed.

The only issue you really need to address is whether there is any licensing/registration or other requirements that could mean a level of investment and just how much you want to develop a business until you at least have the partner visa for first you'll need to show a minimum twelve months relationship.
