I suggest you contact a registered migration agent for professional advice, as being eligible for Medicare would be the least of your problems, a careers visa is extremely difficult to obtain!

Applications for carer visas are routinely refused in the first instance and have to go to review, at considerable cost, with no certainly of approval.

Here is one online reference:

https://migrationalliance.com.au/imm...a-is-hard.html

There are plenty of others.

May I suggest that if the OP has not already done so, obtaining professional advice would be a good idea?

Hi wrussell. Thanks for your advice. I've actually read that piece a while back. We are currently gathering info on what to prepare/expect for an onshore carer visa application. We have positive assessment from Bupa already and is figuring out how to go on about it.
