Onshore Partner Visa

Hi everyone! First time posting I currently have a tourist visa and will be applying for an onshore partner visa (820) soon. I can't seem to find information on my exact situation so was wondering if anyone else had been through this - as an American, my electronic tourist visa lasts for 12 months total, with a 3 months stay limit each time. No other conditions on the tourist visa.

When I apply for the 820 partner visa, will my bridging visa begin once the 3 months stay is done, or when my tourist visa expires completely next year? Just wondering when I will be eligible to begin work?
Thanks for any information or advice!!

When the current 3 month stay period ends.

Read here:
"Visa expiry date: For temporary visa holders only. If you are:
-outside Australia, this is the date your visa ends.
-in Australia, this is the date the period of stay ends on your visa."

Yep. I did the same. Your BVA and work rights will kick in at the end of your 3 month window from when you last arrived. Best of luck!
