Immigration to australia

Hi,

Kindly give your suggestions for my query.

my husband will be the primary applicant as he has 8 years of experience. I, being his spouse have done Master's in Mechanical engineering and have ielts score all above 6.5 and my age is 30. Kindly let me know if 5 points can be added as the criteria says" need skill assessment in occupation on relevant skilled occupation list". Does that mean that i need to get evaluation from MSA for getting that 5 points. kindly throw your thoughts on this.

To gain 5 points for 'spouse skills' a pre- migration skills assessment in an occupation on the same list as the primary applicant's occupation is mandatory.

May I suggest that you read the MSA booklet, before relying on your masters to satisfy the skills assessment academic criterion?

I should not have tried to cover two issues in one post.

1. Spouse points are entirely a matter for immigration and MSA is irrelevant unless the spouse is applying to Engineers Australia for a skills assessment.

2. Check whether your academic qualifications will satisfy the applicable MSA criteria.
