Offshore partner Visa

Hi Guys,
i'm an Australian citizen and my wife is US permanent resident, about 13 month now i applied for a partner visa for my wife to move over to Australia, and did the medical within a month of applying. During this time i also applied for a visitor visa (600) which was granted and my wife was here in Australia to visit 3 times as per her visa condition. the visitor visa had now expired and my wife has returned back to the US waiting for the partner Visa to be granted. yesterday i log in to my online account, i click on the view details and i saw a new section has been included called "Bridging Visa Information"

Application home,

Bridging Visa information?

Can some please clarify what this means ?
Also can a bridging Visa be granted to an offshore applicant whose Visitor visa (600) had expired and someone who is waiting fora partner visa to be granted without even done a police check and is 13 month already?

No. A bridging visa can only be granted in Australia, usually in conjunction with an application for a visa that can be granted onshore.
